Technical Education and Vocational Training (TEVT) system in Malaysia has an important role in providing high skilled labour to fulfil the needs of industry. Today, there is no denying the strong correlation between skills and development, for without skills, technology, culture and communication cannot be developed further. International skills exchange and development is also the surest way of promoting our development culture and global understanding.In the context of the rapid changing global economic scenario, the good knowledge and skills development are great importance to improve the competitiveness of the industries and for sustaining the growth.
Therefore, SkillsMalaysia INVITE programme was designed based on the National Occupational Skills Standard, which was developed by the industrial experts to outlining the competencies requirement in an occupation. Given these developments, it is fitting that Malaysia as a society and nation ponder upon how best it should develop its technical and vocational education system to meet the challenges ahead. SkillsMalaysia INVITE promote capacity building programme to cultivate anddeveloped the knowledge and competencies of the students, to enables them a greater employability opportunities after the graduation, thus to perform effectively in their world of works.
